SureFire Torches and Flashlights

Home Use

Living in a farm community

Living in a farm community I want relate how SureFire products have allowed me the security and advantage of light in the darkness. I have the responsibility of securing our farm from poachers, trespassers, and teen drinking and vandalism. Your flashlights and weapon-mounted lights are tantamount to my personal safety and ability to avoid being shot by trespassers or poachers on our farm. I can leave my vehicle with adequate lighting without being a sitting duck for those who do not understand "No Trespassing" signs. By using SureFire products I know when a dangerous situation exists and can better determine what action I need to undertake. I'll never buy another flashlight or tactical light as long as SureFire is available to get the job done.

P. S. It is a great gift for the person who believes he has everything.

Our burglar alarm light flashing

Recently we returned home from a day out to find our burglar alarm light flashing.

I grabbed my SureFire 6P that lives in my car, and started thoroughly checking the outside of our house - taking for granted the power and clarity of the SureFire beam.

I found a rear window had been forced, and phoned the police - they attended shortly after, and as we looked around I was amazed at the difference in illumination of my relatively tiny SureFire, compared to their large, dim police issue flashlights - there was no comparison - it really was chalk and cheese.

Whilst inside filling out their reports one of the officers commented to my wife about my flashlight - hopefully that helped her understand why I pay a little more to have best flashlights in the world.

Deterring Dog Attacks & Trouble-Shooting the PC

I used my SureFire light while performing trouble-shooting procedures on my home computer system to see micro-components that a regular flashlight could not create proper lighting for. Also, I used SureFire to deter a stray dog from attacking young boy in the local neighborhood.

We had a string of street level robberies

We had a string of street level robberies, a homicide, and a carjacking over a few hour period, so the next night we rode hard looking for the carjacked vehicle. I ended up stumbling onto the suspect vehicle downtown. The car (stolen) fled with the occupants (2) bailing out of the vehicle in an apartment complex, and the passenger fled around the front of the vehicle to the drivers side where they ran through a hole in the fence together, as opposed to the usual splitting up. I reached back as I bailed for my 8NX, only to overturn my first choice and reach for my Z2 (as they were presumed armed and very dangerous) at the front of my duty belt. We ran a good block before I lost them in the above ground houses and weeds.

I knew my Z2's feel and the security of the grip, but I knew I needed more light (the sun would have been nice) and thought as I ran how much a 10X would help in this situation. I plan on replacing my belt worn 8NX with the 10X ASAP as a permanent belt worn light. I figured even at a pretty good distance the 10X would cause enough residual blindness if I could have hit them in the eyes with it to cause them to slow they're flight on foot or at least keep them from aiming at me if they would have chose fight over flight. I find more uses and saves for the light than you can imagine. As a matter of fact, I spent the hour before the chase on top of the Mississippi River bridge looking to see if a man seen earlier had jumped over the rail into the water or onto land. I completely drained one battery, went back to my car, changed the battery and went back looking. Then after my chase I used my 8NX again until the battery was drained and swapped again. I bet I was the only person to use 3 rechargeable batteries that night with NO down time.
